Panto in the Stone-Age
January 2018
January 2018, saw the world-wide premiere of “PANTO IN THE STONE-AGE” (written by RP members David Bainbridge and Michael Lucas) hit the stage!
It’s the year 10,000BC and Mayoress Ruby of Sandstone Hills is celebrating her birthday. Granny Granite is baking the perfect birthday cake but the Chief of Police and his two constables Biff and Boff have an evil scheme to ruin the day. When the Mayoress falls dangerously ill, Granny Granite, her son Flint and their pet dinosaur Rex must find an antidote and save the day.
David & Michael have previously written “The Jewel of Atlantis”, “Panto In The Jungle” and “Panto In Snowalot” for the Players and have since seen them performed by other amateur theatre groups in the UK as well as “Panto In The Jungle” being performed by a group in Canada. David and Michael directed the show and were joined by Ley Dobson and Phoebe as Choreographers and Toby Stafford-Allen as Musical Director.
Performances took place in Iver Village Hall from Wednesday 24th to Saturday 27th January with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
